how lazy can we possibly be?!

normally i’m not one to talk about anybody being lazy for God knows that i like to imitate a slug on the weekends sometimes. in this case however i can’t see see it, and the worst part is that we are teaching our young people (i’m 29 atm so i do have some years of wisdom) to be even lazier than we are.

this morning i’m driving to work as normal when i’m struck by evil itself and get behind a school bus. the devil knows this frustrates me the most because stopping and going is not how i roll. so i’m behind this school bus wishing i had anti-school bus missiles on my car when it stops to pick up a kid from his house, ok, no harm, took 10 seconds. the bus then goes down 3 (YES I SAID THREE!) house and stops to pick up another kid! then it happened AGAIN?! when i was a kid, all the kids (and parents) around met at a major corner where we would goof off waiting for the bus to pick us up, and when i went to middle school, i actually walked to school. now don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the bus picking up people, but why, please tell me why, can’t you walk 10 yards to where other kids are. how can you be so lazy? and the parents are just sitting there at the door watching, not wanting to bear the weather.   arg!  this makes me so mad… i’m going to be late to work because some kids can’t waste the energy to walk 10 yards.

/sigh

there are many reasons for this, but that’s for another post.

I leave extra early for work just to dodge the bus drivers. I have a 20 something minute commute depending on 6am traffic, and do not need to add bus nonsense to that mix. I can feel your pain. I am surrounded by schools, then I have to deal with them when I get on post too….. /sigh

good call, i need to do that but my body has a bad tenancy to demand more sleep when the initial buzzer goes off. i normally have to set two alarms to make sure i’m up at the right time. i am lucky that i don’t live around any schools, so i don’t have to deal with school zones, just the buses that lallygag down the road.
